Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know — whether you're a brand looking for content or a creator looking to get paid.
Once content is delivered, it's yours. Ownership and usage rights are determined at the time of your brief submission — whether that's organic social use, paid ads, or extended licensing. We'll make sure everything is clearly outlined before a creator gets to work so there are no surprises.
Every project is different. Timelines depend on the number of assets, content type, and your deadline. When you submit a brief, you'll set your target delivery date and we'll confirm feasibility before matching you with a creator. As a general rule, we recommend allowing at least 10 business days from brief submission to final delivery. Need it faster? Rush turnaround options are available for an additional fee.
Our revision process is designed to prevent this from happening. Before a creator begins filming, they'll submit a concept for your review and approval — so you're aligned on direction before any content is made. If something still doesn't land the way you hoped, we'll work with you and the creator directly to make it right.
No — and that's intentional. We handle all communication with creators on your behalf. You'll never need to chase anyone down, manage a freelancer, or navigate an awkward conversation. You submit your brief, review concepts and content through your dashboard, and share feedback there. We take care of everything in between.
Every asset includes one round of concept revisions and one round of content revisions. Here's how it works: once you're matched with a creator, they'll submit a concept to your dashboard for review. You can approve it or leave feedback. Once approved, they'll create the content and submit it for your final review. At that stage, you can approve it or request one round of revisions. All feedback happens directly through your dashboard — no back and forth outside the platform.
Influencers are paid for their audience. Creators are paid for their craft. At Local Lens, we work exclusively with creators — skilled individuals who know how to make content that feels native to the platform, stops the scroll, and reflects your brand authentically. They don't need a massive following to do that. In fact, some of the best content on social media was made by people you've never heard of — because the algorithm rewards quality and relevance, not follower count.
We match based on what actually matters — creative specialty, content style, industry experience, and location. When you submit a brief, our team reviews your brand, goals, and content needs and handpicks a creator from our vetted network whose work and expertise align with what you're looking for. You won't need to search, vet, or negotiate — we do that for you.
Brands can view each creator's platform username, location, and portfolio of past work. Creator identities are kept anonymous to protect our network — but their portfolio speaks for itself. You'll always have the opportunity to review a creator's work before they're matched to your brief.

No. We don't care how many followers you have — we care about what you can create.
No. Submitting a pitch is your opportunity to share your creative idea with the brand. Our team reviews every pitch first and if it's a strong fit we pass it to the brand for their final decision. Not every pitch gets selected but the ones that do are specific, creative, and show a clear understanding of the brief.
Payment is processed once the brand approves your final content. Funds are typically released within 3–5 business days of approval.
It depends on the project. Usage rights are outlined in every brief before you pitch, so you'll always know upfront what you can and can't do with your work. Some brands welcome creators sharing their content — others don't. If the brief allows it, go for it. If you're unsure, just ask our team before posting.
Your starting tier is assigned by our team during the application review based on the quality, consistency, and platform-nativeness of your portfolio. Most new creators start at Tier 1 or Tier 2 depending on their work. Your tier isn't permanent — it's a starting point that reflects where you are today.
Tier progression is based on your performance on the platform. Your tier will be assessed each time you successfully complete a project.
No. All communication between you and the brand is handled by the Local Lens team. You'll receive briefs, feedback, and revision notes through your dashboard and our team acts as the intermediary throughout the entire project. This keeps things professional, protects your identity, and means you can focus entirely on creating.
